We didn't start this because it looked good on paper. We started it because we've spent years watching what happens when someone believes in you at the right time.
The 2nd Chance Foundation 4 Life was born out of a simple idea: when the next play comes, make it count.
For nearly four decades, Mike and Dianne Denbrock have watched young people walk into meeting rooms unsure of themselves and walk out ready to compete—not just in football, but in life. They've seen what happens when someone is given the right mentor, the right resources, and the belief that their best days are ahead.
The foundation is the formal version of something they've always done. It takes the same philosophy that built their careers—investing in people, showing up, staying in it—and points it at the causes that matter most to their family: childhood cancers, men's and women's health, veterans, and autism support.
This isn't about football. It's about what football taught them—that every person deserves someone in their corner, and that when you get your shot, you should have every reason to be ready for it.
Mission & Vision
Why we exist.
We exist to invest in people—in their health, their potential, and their future—by working alongside individuals, families, and communities to provide the mentorship, resources, and support that make a real difference when it matters most. We believe no one should have to face their hardest moments without someone in their corner, and no one should miss their next opportunity because they didn't have the tools to be ready for it.
The 2nd Chance Foundation 4 Life is working toward a future where the huddle is always open, and no one runs the next play alone.
